Philip Harbottle, CEO of Cosmos Literary Agency, is an editor, publisher, agent and science-fiction researcher and critic. His area of expertise is British science fiction, but his general knowledge of the field has led to rewarding partnerships for authors and publishers alike.
The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction has dubbed him "the world authority on the works of John Russell Fearn." His long collaboration with E.C. Tubb has led to the major motion picture 57 Seconds, due out in September 2023, starring Josh Hutcherson and Morgan Freeman, based upon Tubb's story "I, Lucifer."
At one point he edited Vision of Tomorrow magazine, and he curates numerous anthologies for various publishers.
